A conceptual, white loft was designed in the heart of the historic city Tongeren. A central axis contains two bathrooms, wardrobe dressing and kitchen closets. This 'island' lies in an open space along an open roof terrace. The 'island' volume itself has a width of only 1m20 with a length of 20 meters. This volume has a glass roof that brings daylight in but also gives a nice view on the original wooden roof structure. This rough wood structure contrasts nicely with the monochromatic white. Decoration is purposely kept sober in accordance with the spirit of the loft. Like many of the architects' designs, the result is very clean and well over-thought.
