This is exactly what the architects did with the renovation of this four storey house. The central shaft brings light within the heart of the house, but also functions as a communication device. Shouting through the glass holes the parents can summon their kids to the table, in the mirrors they can see each others reflection. The contrast with the black painted corridors is intentional. These corridors are a pathway to a new space with an own identy on each floor.
