It was a real challenge to renovate this, once so dark, workman's house. But the architects opened up the whole central vertical column so they could pull in light. What was once a little service station for cars on the ground floor, is now a space which can function as a gallery. Going up everything is renovated quite basic. The owner insisted on keeping the place spartan, as he didn't want to abandon his nomadic existance.
