A house renovated in a suburban area in Kortrijk. This house lies in the midst of a very typical and nice street in 60's style architecture that has now a protected cultural status. The architect kept the whole 'body' of the house. But stripped the inside. Although the space inside is not that big, they managed to create a home where you can breathe in (and even through). Contact with the street has been kept by the opening in the front facade wall and it's glass door. You first enter the garden and then enter the bungalow/house. Because they love the atmosphere of hotel rooms, the architects tried to incorporate this feeling in their home without losing the home-like touch. The use of materials like black mirrors, lacqued wood, ... enhances this feeling. It stayed an open family home, with a lot of walk through space and in the back a swimming pool.
